Blogging can seem like a thankless job --- I've read your blog off and on again for the past couple of years ever since I saw your 25 Ways to Distinguish yourself manifesto on ChangeThis.com. I have not Thanked you, and your post #49 reminds me of how we don't thank our teachers, friends, family as much as we should. We're quick to criticize and slow to praise. Of course that should be reversed. I have only recently become a blog author/owner. So far your "What they didn't tell you about blogging" series has been spot on, and I really appreciate hearing your thoughts and suggestions. One suggestion, I'd add is that Recurrently providing Relevant and Remarkable content is more difficult than it looks. You can restate that as Blogging is more difficult than it appears when you first get started. We'll see if it gets easier.
