If I am having fun at work then the euphoria is not too much in the former case and the latter case does not get me more than a little low. Then I know that work is indeed play for me at that point in time. Just like there's a great weekend game of cricket scoring some good runs at the local play ground - brings you that immense joy and happiness, there's nothing like having performed your task in the best possible manner. I am yet to find anything else that brings me the joy of completing my tasks, exceeding expectations of my role in professional life. It's amazing. Work can become play only when we aim to derive satisfaction out of it. Just like there’s a great weekend game of cricket scoring some good runs at the local play ground – brings you that immense joy and happiness, there’s nothing like having performed your task in the best possible manner.

Sure, some people's work is something that they groan about all the time, but the fact is, even if we didn't have to work to make a living, we would all work hard at SOMETHING to add meaning to our lives, and others' lives. Work is joy when you're accomplishing great things, or even when you're accomplishing little things but you're in the zone. “Work” is a term that has built into it “painful toil” and “I have to do it.” But “work” should not imply such negative concepts.
