If most of the pick-ups are in the peak times, there is still the possibility of waiting for your drink to be made (I also prefer it to be made while I'm there so it starts off being hot). Customers walks in and enters name and the drink (or its number) on an order list (or key it on a touch-screen kiosk) Starbucks works off this list As orders are completed, customer names are called and they pick it up at a 'pickup' window I have another suggestion for ‘in-store customers’.
